OK, have to say first off, LOVE that song (it's seriously one of my faves... my husband's wedding band performs it about twice a month and he always calls me on his gigs, puts his phone on speaker, leaves it in his pocket and I get to enjoy... ok, sad but it's fun and I love it). Second, like your "did you knows". I think the $$$ is staggering in many respects because of how it's distributed within our state. That's what scares me the most because that amount of $14,000 something, is NOT evenly distributed. BTW, in NY we had end-of-year science exams from Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry and I believe Physics too. What's crappy about them is, say you're doing well in the class (90 average) but get a (78) on the exam, that gets factored into your GPA! That happened to me with chemistry... not a happy camper!!

I would also like to comment, first off on the great song choice for this. It is one of my favorites as well. It's crazy to think about some of the information you have here. Why students wont take math and science in college. That amazes me to think that students are avoiding these classes for many reason. I think that more analytic people have an easier time with the math and sciences and many others struggle. Another thing that amazed me was the amount of money that new jersey spends to educate there students and how we are at the low end in terms of federal funding. where the heck are we getting all of the money to spend 9 grand a student when we are only getting 900 a student from the federal government all to educate students for jobs that don't even exist yet!

You had a lot of interesting facts in you presentation. It is shocking how much money is being spent! I definitely do not think it is being distributed correctly. Something definitely needs to be done, especially in NJ. Great Job!
